Highlands is zoned for Willis Shaw Elementary School, Hellstern Middle School, Central Junior High, and Har-Ber High School. There are also two charter schools and several private schools to choose from. Nearby colleges include the University of Arkansas and John Brown University.

Highlands at Elm Springs is just a short drive to the area’s largest employers, including Tyson Foods, J.B. Hunt Transportation Services, the University of Arkansas, and the Walmart home office. You’re also close to Arkansas Children’s Northwest, the region’s only pediatric hospital, as well as the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) giving you easy access to most major cities.
